Truly unique custom plates. Something special.

Whimsy images of your PWDs are re-created on ceramic plates, platters, and tiles. Each creation is a completely unique hand-painted work. I paint one-of-a-kind whimsy images of your PWD. Reference photos can be provided via e-mail.

Our Ceramic Plates can be a rim plate or what is called a coup, which has no rim. They measure 8" in diameter.

 

Platters are 12 1/2 to 13 1/2" long (I have to use the pieces I can get; they are usually the 12 1/2" oval) and slightly curved up around the edges, not flat.

 

Pawtraits® tiles are 6" square. They can be framed to hang or can be used as a trivet.

 

How it works: The Pawtraits paintings are done with special ceramic glazes. This limits me as far as color. Bright colors are usually used to make each piece fun and festive and completely unique. I make each border different, and though we can discuss colors I prefer to go with what I feel is right for the borders. The plates are then sent out, where they are dipped in a clear glass glaze to seal the piece and make them shiny. They are then high fired for over 24 hours. They are food safe. I have put mine in the dishwasher with no problem, but they recommend that you don't. They are NOT microwaveable.
