Formal Portraits - Pricing & Ordering
What is Pawtraits®?
Pawtraits® is a studio that offers one-of-a-kind portraits of your animal. I deal exclusively with animals and specialize in capturing the expression you have come to love in your pet. I take pride in the portraits created in my studio and strive to include precise details, markings, color and texture in every formal portrait I produce. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
Formal Art Portraits
Your original art portrait is carefully rendered in your
choice of black and white or color. I use pastel, pen and ink or graphite
to create your pet's likeness. Each finished piece is matted at no extra
charge.
How It's Done
All of the art portraits are done from photographs provided by the owner. The sharper the image, the easier it is for me to get a true likeness. (Original photos from negatives work better than most computer generated reproductions.) My printer does not always capture enough detail from computer digital images, so I will no longer take images via e-mail for formal portraits.
I reserve the right to return any orders with full fee if photos are unacceptable to reproduce a quality portrait. All photographs will be returned with the finished work.

Deposit - At the time of order a 50% deposit is required. The balance
will be due upon delivery.
Finished Art Work - Each portrait will be ready
within 6 to 8 weeks. Any finished work should meet your satisfaction; otherwise
it may be returned for a rework or complete
refund.
Multiples - It is possible to incorporate more than one animal or more
than one pose in each portrait (except 8x10 size). The additions are shown
on the price list as "ea. added pose".
Orders by Mail - You will first need to email
me for details, but here's a checklist for when you do send your order
to Pawtraits®. Be sure
to include the following:
- We now take credit cards! Please contact us for instructions.
- 50% deposit, check or money order
- Photographs with any special instructions. Indicate the media you wish your work to be rendered in: Pastel, Pen and Ink, or Pencil.
- Your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. We will notify you upon receipt of order.
